MARRIAGE

I’m entering this new chapter in my life. By the title of the post, I guess you have figured it out.

For those of you who are new to my blog, I should start by telling you that my ethnicity is Indian but my nationality is United States of America.

This may mean little to some but for me, being Indian has expectations… Marriage is one of them.

The beginning of this chapter starts off like many others, in which I am talking to my parents. My mum has just informed me that I should be getting serious about my life; what she really means is that I should start to find someone to marry.

I in turn told her that she can do whatever she chooses, however she is not allowed to tell anyone that I will marry them.

Thus here I am… writing ALL the things I would love to share with random strangers because telling my family is too much.

ARRANGE MARRIAGE

For most, the phase below is a tradition that was long ago used and is now forgotten. For me the phase is just the way I was to find my partner in life.

Last week I went to take photo portraits in Indian clothes. My mum was on me like a tiger on its prey. She wanted to have pictures on me in Indian clothes and the Western clothes.

This got me thinking… I have the flu and tired, how did I get to this point in my life?

So begins the realization of the chapter I am currently living in my life, titled “Marriage.”

So I have decided to become more active with my blog again. I think it is a great way for me to clear my head. I love this photo because it describes how I feel on the inside; how I think about so much but say so very little. I hope to someday (soon) be able to convey my thoughts into meaningful sentences.
